After a less than illuminated drive home in the dark last night, I've decided that some HID's are required. 2 questions:

1. Are the HID bulbs for dipped headlights (and high beam remain the same)?

2. Where do I get them...is it still Outlander?

Cheers all.

Dipped bead, although you can get the H1(?) High beam conversion too (but its not really needed compared to dipped beam).

Chris @ getgreddy can supply.

1. Yes

2. Yes

I got mine from Mark at Outlander - they are probably the best mod I've done. I don't use high beam any more !!! They are literally plug and play....

Cheers chaps, and not that I'm hugely worried but do you get a lot of flashes from people coming the other way thinking your high beam is on? Or is the light pattern different enough for that to be OK?

Yes they are just for dip beem. If you go for the one that were on the first group buy. You have to alter the back of the light unit ,but they stay on when you put full beem on and it makes a lot of difference. Also the Halfrauds Ultra Bright 80watt high beem replacements are fantastic and give the same colour output as the HIDs.

I would quite like some HIDs - Good tip with the Halfrauds bulbs - what about the front fogs/ driving lights?? how do you stop them looking so yellowy?

I got the group buy from oneday (mark) Outlander I last year one of the best upgrades on the car I have done.

Give mark a call I don't think he can do them as cheap as he did last year..

They do the Ultra Bright in 80 watt only but in all H1 to H7 bulb so you could replace them all with em.

They are better than the PIAA's Ultra that I used to use. They never used to be but the new ones that halfrauds are nocking out are a blue bulb with a silver tip and clam to be the latest gass technoligy.

I replace a PIAA in my C70 T5 which is my daily drive because a bulb blew and I couldn't get a PIAA replacement for 2weeks. The Halfrauds one was so much brighter at night and so much whiter that I have relaced all four PIAA bulbs in the C70 and the 2 PIAA bulbs I used in main beem of my Z.

Before you go HID get some of these for you dip beem and if you still want to go HID you can put them in your fog lamps.

I'm well impressed by them.

Danny is doing them too.

Thanks Andy! (cheque's in the post ... LOL just kidding ;)!)

Yes, I have taken over the sale of HID kits on this forum from Mark at Outlander. You can use these for your dipped headlights and also for the fogs should you so desire. They can be supplied in all bulb fitments and come with everything you need to install. It's a straight forward swap (out with the old halogen bulbs and in with the new HID bulbs). Should take about an hour or so to do depending on how bendy your fingers are ... ;) These kits really are fabulous and are priced at £285 plus delivery. An upgrade you won't regret. I don't carry stock of these so delivery times may vary but have been roughly 10 days from receipt of funds. Give me a shout if I can be of any help.

All the best,

Dan

to make the front fogs brighter by over 50% take out the front fog bulb then the fog light and dissmantle the lens from the reflector its only 4 x 10mm nuts and a phillips screw i think from memory

carefully remove the anti dazzle cap by rocking it back and forth , it will come away clean no problems .........put it all together and instant improvement .......
