ZTECH will rebuild it for you...not sure of the price though...

I have a uk TT auto engine that came out of my car when I put my rebuilt new to me secondhand manual TT in. The enginge has done 130K, but the oil was changed every 4000 miles and I have had that engine since 34,000 miles. It has been compresion tested and is spot on though the big end bearings are making a slight noise and would need re shelling + I'd say put a new oil and water pump on it, but I'd tell you to do that with any secondhand or rebuilt engine anyway.

If you want it I want £600 as she is or £900 with the big ends replaced and new rings.

Yo Dude! Had to get one for my TT last year, ended up finding one on http://www.1stchoice.co.uk there's plenty out there as they search all available breakers yards in the uk!! I got luck got one from a written off 1992 UK Spec Z which had only done 42,000 miles. They send proof of milage compression tests etc. It was the main engine - tubs cause my tubs we're new but a bargain at £900 inc delivery!!! Hope this helps!!

No it wasn't mine, but obviously belonged to someone with good taste

Engines can be rebuilt. You rebuild it and it will it should be virtually new.

Get a used one and you dont know the history or condition of it. (usually)
