I managed to gouge a hole in the back of my head last night on Craig's garage. Woke up this morning and my bed looked like there'd been a masacre. It's still bleeding now.

Should I sue ?

Crickey! must be something in the air because I managed to grab my soldering iron at the wrong end last night whilst trying to solder on some wires to uprated dip beam bulbs. frown.gif

biggrin.gif Good effort to all! biggrin.gif

What with Az setting light to his crank bolt etc.

Anyway, that's nothing, try being in a garage with the door down with Q(AndyP) fitting TC the night after a vegi Chili and copious amounts of Guiness? Hey? Now who's laughing? biggrin.gif

And no, I didn't break it.. honest..

Or.. I might have set light to it... biggrin.gif

I claim ALL responsibility for Az setting alight to his crank bolt - mind you I didn't say heat it with a flame comparable to Oxy-acetaline wink.gif

If you have any probs with the gas struts there's a place near here that can recondition them. If you're interested I'll get you some prices - if you're not then I won't biggrin.gif

Yep - I have the same problem but its worse when its cold.

Luckily for me though, I have a hillariously gut asphicsiating memory of one of my uncles getting a boot lid on this noggin' and having his glasses slip and end up under his nose. He had his hands full so there wasn't much he could do apart from scream "JESUS CHRIST!!" Trust me, at the time, IT WAS VERY FUNNY!

Therefore, I always remember to keep my hand on the lid or atleast one eye.

Oddly enough, I don't have a problem with the thing staying up, its getting it up in the first place - it weighs a bloody ton!

And I'd just like to make clear that I'm still talking about the car's boot lid biggrin.gif

Yeah Yeah of course thats what u meant!!!

This is true though the bootlid on a zed has to be comparable in weight as king kongs knackers...........

Hey cos, did u know that there is a lettuce named after you? Weird hey!

Dear Bootlid

Get well soon.

The Forum..

ROFL!!

Hope you recover..

our bootlid is the worst for getting up. The catch is too high on itm so to open it u have to hold the key in and lift it with the other hand, and thats dificult when it weighs so much! Need to get that thing fixed we did it once before and it went back, think he didnt tighten the bolt up enough

The weight of the bootlid is actually the spoiler - remove that and the thing flies up! I have replaced mine with a fibreglass relica and what a difference - must knock at least a second off the 0-60 time biggrin.gif If you don't believe me I've still got the old spoiler down the side of my house - almost a two man job to lift it!

CheerZ,

Andy

So maybe it's just mine, or maybe I have a fibreglass spoiler without knowing it, although I doubt it, but mine can be opened with a single click of the key to unlock and then lifted with one hand. It flies up no problem, stays up with equal mastery and then is easy to close. biggrin.gif

Yep mine is fiberglass and it makes a big difference in weight.
