I've discovered The Met have a policy of SHOOT TO PROTECT. If the male had not been shot and detonated a device imagine the grief the police would have got for that!

SO HE WAS A BRAzilian?

Is that some sort of joke about his haircut? ;)

It seems he wasn't a terrorist after all, which is not only a shame for him, but also for those of us who want the police to be able to take decisive action against terrorists. This sort of incident will give more ammunition to the do-gooders, sadly. :(

subsonic ammo is used to protect the people around the target ie high velocity would pass through the target and harm a bystander, also looks like military-special forces not police

I think he stole a newspaper from WH Smiths. Did not stop and got shot. Not a good idea in London at the mo. So if they say stop you better had.

Nope. It was later discovered that he had nothing to do with the bombers and he had no explosives in his bag.

But I still dont think the police have done anything wrong. It is well known that bombs have been placed on underground trains and buses in rucksacks, and yet this person (who had a ruck sack) decides to run away from police when they where speaking to him, he was told to stop by armed police when he ran and didnt and then he ran on to a tube train as it was about to pull off. How stupid can you get.

Its unfortunate and Im not saying he didnt deserve it. Its trajic, but what did he expect the poilce to do when he ran?

the guy had nothing to do with it, three undercover armed police offers chased him then pinned him and shot him 5 times.

The police are trained to shoot double meaning two shots at A time, police shooting him 5 times shows A sign of panic or did'nt know if he was 100% sure or not.

the witness that was on the news is my cousins neighbour, apparently he told my cousin that the police approached him at a later time asking to change his statement bit. But he told them he won’t change it for nothing.

I agree he should'nt have ran.

Using the Double fire theory he should have been shot 6 times. If three blokes say to you "Stop Armed Police" Don't f***ing run away!!! unless you have somthing to hide

I dunno, given the current climate, If I was in a tube station and some guys running towards me with a gun I think I'd run! Cant blame the policeman that shot him but as for the police "intelligence" that led to him being followed and confronted thats another issue.
