In the endeavor to find my misfire fault I cleaned the butterfly valves on the air intakes as descibed on TT.net. It was really easy and didn't take long using a fine scouring pad and some carb cleaner.

What a difference my idle speed increased from 750 to 1800 as the valves were now able to close fully without any carbon stopping them. I turned the idle screw down and it runs much better although the misfire is still there.

Stu,

Under what conditions are you experiencing misfire?

Have you increase boost pressure above normal stock level?

Also, what other modifications do you have?

Has the misfire started since you upgraded a specific part?

Steve

This has been an ongoing thing, the car is stock and I have changed and checked everything so I am left with TPS (unlikely) or timing belt fitted wrong?

I am having a new belt fitted on Thursday.

The mis is as per "some assistance please??" where Jizz has the same problem.

Have you been out on test drive with the Nissan consult diagnostics plugged in.

This should show exactly what is causing the problem!

Steve

Yes and it didn't find anything wrong.

It's very odd because it only does it between 1000 and 1800rpm?????

Idle is perfect and it runs perfect past 1800 rpm.
