So whats the most wacky thing uve seen on the roads then?

To start the ball rolling..

For me it must be a truck right in front of the car having a blowout, swurving over all 3 lanes a few time before rolling and resting on the verge before setting fire.

A pair of trousers on the motorway.

Beggars belief!

:)

comming over the hill on a motorway in SA and there are about 20 oxen being walked down the middle of the road by a little boy ?????

driving out of southampton approx 11pm , in the inside lane of a a three lane carriage way at about 55ish, very little traffic on the roads, go over the brow of a flyover and some c**t is coming the other way at about 80 in the outside lane - 1/2 mile down the road, pass a petrol station and his mates are hanging out and pretty clearly waiting for him to "do his lap" - only a little scary.

oh yeah, and the ever present legendary

"one shoe"

wtf ???? and ideas ?

Many years ago, before I was driving, me and my parents were driving through France on the way to Spain. With us were some friends of my parents in their own car.

Driving down one of those large dual-carriageways with no central reservation that they have over there, we were behind our friends' car as they overtook a big artic. Suddenly this behemoth slams its anchors on and starts to skid left into *our* lane!

With no time to react, the front wing of our friends' car gets wedged into the left-rear wheels of the artic's cab, and I still have the stark memory of seeing the *underside* of their car when it momentarily lifted up, as my dad stood on the brakes and veered us across the road, coming to rest in a little farm track running off from the main road...

Yeesh. Very lucky there were no injuries that day... smile.gif

M6 discussing with mate.."Whos insurance pays if you are stopped and someone tail ends you into the car infront?"....then it happened...slammed on stopped...7 series in the back catapulted in to mondeo estate... (16 car job..motorway shut etc etc...)

But did answer the question!!!

well ? who pays then in a pile up ?

people pay the drivers that they go up the back of ?

watchin the 205 racing me pile into the side of a truck in between the rear wheels and the tractor unit because i was slowing down for the lights and he thought he was gonna beat them he was watchin me in my dimma and not the road in front.......he hit the truck at appox 100mph it stopped dead and the engine carried on for 500yrds.....i dont need to tell you what happened to the three lads in the car needless to say i had to get rid of the car because their families blamed me for making them race over the lights and i wasnt going to argue with gypsys....i know only to well what happens when you race.ive had plenty others another lad i was racing with through astley was too busy watching me and not the road he hit a girl crossing the road........i thought she was a gonna but she survived and the guy that hit her ended up engaged to her. i'll show my arse if he actually told her what he was really doing driving at 80+ that night......lets just say i dont think there's a place reserved in heaven for me but i'll have to live with that....racing is fun but not when you know what can happen

Dont think so Zach.

My mate was stopped in traffic when he was hit from behind by a speeding car, which caused him to hit the car infront. All insurance claims where made to the person at the back.

But I might be different for each occation.

I have seen 2 horses running for a busy junction with no riders on. 20 seconds later I saw 2 young girls looking very tired, dressed in riding clothes running down the road looking very tired.

God knows how it happend but all the cars stopped and no one or no animal was hurt.

for me it would be an Audi TT getting burned up by a Rover 100 on the motorway. the rover was being driven by an old lady, who looked about 90 years old.

ac it wasnt a rover 100, it was a metro (as clarkey corrected me)

  • Author

id just like to say i was not there when a metro took on an audi tt, that really would be outrageous. U sure it wasnt one of those beast metros with a bigass engine rear mounted.

Do you mean the 6R4.

My friends dad has one and takes it Rallying.

Also the Metro turbo do shift too.

When i was about 6 years old, playing in my

pedal car on the pavement in the front of our house (even then i knew i would be getting a 300zx LOL)

I saw a neighbours 1 year old baby get run over by a wagon, his mother was deaf and had not heard him crawl out of the front door and onto the road.

Fuckin horrific!

the wagon driver who came speeding past was

testing his brakes FFS! he stopped because

he thought he had run over a brick in the road!

not surprisingly the baby did`nt make it.

Think about this one the next time you go to

curse speed ramps in built up residential areas.

Strange how some childhood memories never leave ya?

I was in a car crash on the M1 in 1992. Right in the middle of it. Made the headlines on the TV news, and our car was the one on the picture in the back ground.

Any way 4 people died in that crash and I saw some of them. Still in the cars, and the medics just looked at them checked for a pulse and moved on to some one else, who was alive and started helping them.

I was 12, and i wont forget that too.
