tubbies-wise 14psi is generally regarded as the safe limit. some members are running 15 and havent had problems. 16 is probably pushing your luck a little. 2,000psi is just silly but would be great fun for at least 0.1 of a second before the big bang.

with a good boost controller then 14-14.5 is about the limit for safty.......but if you want to get new Tubs the 16-17psi then they go bang and you buy new Tubs..;)

Sorry dear my Tubs just gone...:rofl::x:

I cringe when I see this question, as I think people are just going to blow their engines up and then say "Well I was told......."

Its is hard to say how much power it can take stock as every car is different. Especailly now when they are sold old and they have all had very different lives.

Stock turbos in good condition will live with 13psi. 15psi you are pushing it a little too far (Personally)

The stock injectors will only supply enough fuel (with the correct ECU map which will have to be changed if the boost is increased) for engines running 13-14psi. anything over that there will not be enough fuel gonig into the engine.

Stock intercoolers where designed to with with the turbos working at 9.5. More boost means more heat. At 13psi the intercooler will be still be cooling enough. At 15psi, I think, the intercoolers will be inefficient and will cause more problems than its worth.

Stock clutch, is only good for 20-40 bhp more than standard.

With a good map and boost increase to a sensible level, you could expect 350-380bhp. It all depends on other thigns, such as the condition of the engine, air flow, exhaust, map, air condition, transmission.

whats will be a safe boost for my car if i wanted to increase the boost with the mods listed below. without stressing the engine?

probably 13/14 mate, but you'd deffo need a new chip.

What can you increase the boost to without the fitment of a different map/chip?

Some have ran around on 12psi on stock chip, but since you can get chips from £50-£100 for the 300zx there is no sense it not fitting one.

That is cheap. What can you take them up to and are do those have a fixed map or not? Any setting up? Please excuse for the newbie type questions. :)

So a reasonable figure with a decent chip would be circa 13PSi? Intercooler seems decent then as said above, should come with 14.
