did you no ,, plastikote do a chrome colour spray , vinz is of to halfords at 100mph,, ,,ive seen it results are amazing realy looks like chrome, as well not silver at all,

I've just done my wiper blades - satin black at the bottom to match the plastic panels I sprayed last week, highly polished rest of the way. Popped the blades back on-looked wierd. So took the blades off, removed rubbers, sprayed the rubbers brackets silver and re-assembled. Love it.

Willpost pics if interested.

PK1 ...where did you get your isopropanol from ??? and is the plastikote available at halfrauds???........did you use their primer also ??

cheers mate

ok isopropyl is available from most chemists, if they give you crap, and they may ask what its for , just tell them its for cleaning circuit boards, that you repair for electronics. some chemists are right fkn assholes when selling this stuff, if they dont like the look of you they wont sell it, if they wont sell it you ask them for their resons and grounds for not selling it to you. if they dont give a good enough reason then speak to the manager, and complain. they have no right not to sell you this product. my chemist tried to get funny with me because i wanted a large bottle, i put them straight , when they asked what i wanted it for i said" i beg your pardon?" and then "i am under no obligation by law to disclose the purpose of which i intend to use this substance for my own private use, however as you seem to be biased towards me and selling me the product... its for electronic work i repair circuit boards" the chemist shut the fk up and sold me the isopropanol, i then complained to the management. now when i go in to buy it they just give it me.

you can also get it from photolabs, maplins online, cpcfarnell online.

i got plasti-kote from a place called rockfiels diy here in abergavenny but you can get it online and from most remote control kit model shops along with pectrapaint

B+Q warehouse also sell Plasticote paints

Thanks Mate,

looking forward to getting the grubby black chipped wipers and trim sorted for the rest of the summer when i get home
