Some ones had a go at my car!

Yes came back to my car today in the car park where I have to pay £2 a day.

I always check my car when I get to it now. First I see finger marks in the dirt on the door, get closer and the fuckers have tried to take the lock out.

Dont know if the lock is broken or what but the surroundings of the handle is broken and the door skin around the handle is bent and scratched.

My dad says that because I pay to enter the car park that I claim off them. Is this true?

Also where can I get an estimate to get it fixed. I dont want some one to estimate patching it up. I want it to look good as new.

Does Johnny do that sort of stuff?

oh man that sucks. The carlot will probably have signs all over it saying they are not resposible for theft and all that.

any decent body shop will be able to make a plan, what about have the door handles completly removed and get an alarm to open and close them im sure guys out there do that.

NO there are no signs saying they are not responcable. I took the liberty to look.

Also when I went to report it the gave me a claims form.

Apparently the little fuckers take bars out of the fence with ease to let them selves in.

So I presume by their response the car park owners knew this was going on??? This REALLY fucks me off. Just makes me want to have more of a go at developing an electrifying system.....

CheerZ,

Andy

I'm getting a bit pissed off with this now! mad.gif

We should get someone to use their car as a rat trap and stake it out for a day or two! Couple of the larger guys on here and I'll bring the Rottie brigade! wink.gif

Baseball bats at the ready and pliers, try picking a lock with negat finger nails you little shit!!!

Stu, sorry to hear this mate, what can I say!!!

My car had had similar further back through the service history. New door locks and paint etc. Wasn't cheap if I recall!

I'm seriously considering de-locking and de-handling my car now....

Bob - have you ever done this kinda job???

I've seen a skyline de-handled with buttons under the mirrors to activate the latch solenoid - was quite comlicated though as it had an extra battery in the boot as a back up just in case....

CheerZ,

Andy

Andy I did that many years ago on a cossie,No problem doing it {EASY},trouble is when there is no door locks to pick, they just go for the glass mad.gifWANKERS!

Well I think it is going through the university insurance, cos when I went to the help desk and they gave me what they called a Claim form, and they want to know the Police report number, or what ever its called. The only reason they want that is for insurance.

Im gonna get some quotes over the weekend, and also get some for getting the thing delocked.

My dad did that on the Cossie a few years ago. Some one had a go a the door, the insurance paid for the repair and my dad added the extra for it the be delocked.

Dont know why they wanted to get in. There was noting inside the car, there was a huge yellow disc lock on it which they couldnt get off, 3 flashing LEDs from my CAT 1 alarm and immobiliser, WTF where they going for?

Gonna get a proxi alarm now and an alarm pager, When I can afford it. I will have the money in the new year but I owe Ajay most of it.

DOH!

Stuart

Easy enough job doing the de-locking, can be activated from the alarm fob (depending on make)Not sure what it`s like behind the lock but if you have remote locking try just disconecting the locking rod that goes to the key lock. If they do break the lock there`ll be nothing to unlock it with cos you nicked the rod!!

Bob

Can you do that Bob?

I have a Meta CAT1 alarm on it which activates the doors, so thats no problem

If so how much we looking? Ive helped doing it on other cars but the area working on was easier.

Stuart

Sorry to hear the news Stu.

Glad they didn't get in and take the car.

Hope the car park pays you some compensation mate.

Do they not have CCTV they can check?

B******s! With regard to the stake out idea - I havn't met any of u lot yet, but I will try to get to a meet soon, work permiting. I'll think your agree I'm more of a deterent than a rottie!

Lovely dogs though!

There are cameras but they point at the entrance, oposite side to where the car was parked, and of no use. They are too high to pick out peoples faces so why they are there I have no idea.

Apparently about 5 cars a week get broken into there. Nice of them to tell me now.

Stuart

beleive it or not the z is becoming the car to have by bank robbers and snatch merchants three from around the rochdale/salford area were taken in the last month and used in armed robberies i spoke to one the guys that had his car taken by said bandits all they damaged was his locks and some gearbox damage but the plod said they went for the car for its speed

yeah right, a "Beware theives Operate in This Area" sign would have been something they could do have done if it happens that regularly, someone may know if they have a duty to warn you ?

Anyway, complete bastards, rule number one - you don't fuck with another mans wheels.

This may sound stupid but how effective are these CAT1 security systems.

Is it hard to get around them. Like my one has a Meta Cat1 alarm and immobiliser, how hard is it to get round it?

Stuart

Stuart, the answer to that question is simple, it`s not the alarm that makes your car secure it`s the guy who fits it. A Moss alarm can secure a car as well as any Cat1 whatever make it is if it`s fitted right.I don`t make any claims to be the worlds best fitter but can honestly say i take a bit of pride in my work and would be just as gutted as the owner if a car i fit an alarm to goes missing. (Not a sales pitch honest, just the truth)

I go all over the country fitting alarms and if you want when you have the next meet i will turn up and give your motors the once over and give my opinion on how safe it is.

Bob

Stu m8, sorry to hear the bad news... Timmy I'd LOVE to see some 15 yr old scum getting ripped to pieces by a rottie...in fact I'd PAY to see some scum getting ripped to pieces by one of your 'cuddlies'.

Anyway, isn't it an MOT failure to have no doorhandles?? Since I've already considered this, but apparently its a fail, if theres no manual way in.

Regards

Sorry to hear this Stuart. These little f*ckers need showing the error of their ways with a piece of 2x4 with a nail in one end (not the end your holding though ;-).

Yes, Johnny can organise body repairs etc...

If you are considering de-lockin the Z then try these guys http://www.autoloc.com/products.html . They do a full kit just for the Z.
