Hello Chaps,

Nice to meet you all - This is my first post as a newbie 93 Jap SWB owner - I`m desperately keen to get stuck into the whole Z car scene - the 300zx has been my favourite car since i was a kid and ive only just been able to afford one at the tender age of 27!

Im keen to subscribe to the club but have only found a link to Paypal - is this the only way or can i send a cheque??

my beloved car is currently parked up under Phil's care at C&S Woods as i am trying to source a new bumper to spruce things up a bit at the front end. I quite like the scarab bumper but will probably get a 99 spec front end as it is easier to fit and will fare better if its knocked against the kerb - does this sound right and, if so, which sideskirts go with the 99 spec and where could i get them from? Im quite keen on getting the GT3 look.

Cheers in advance for your help!

Hello and welcome.

The only other polyurathene bumper other than the 99 spec is the Stillen. One of the best bumpers for a Z and still pretty rare compared to others. They retail for £650 but guess what? I have a brand new one I'm selling for £450. See "items for sale".

Other than that, check out http://www.zcentre.co.uk

The Wings West bumper is a polyurathane one but im not sure they are still avalible. Mines for sale for £3,000 as they are so rare now especially unpained like mine LOL :)

Yeah, I didn't think the W/W was available, which is why I didn't mention it.

£3000? Bargain!

Thanks guys-

Andy P - Thanks, I have sent over the cash as a bank transfer!

James - looks like a solid bumper I may well have to wangle it off you - are the sideskirts that the zcentre does the Stillen ones?? Do the original lights still work for it or will i have to order new ones??

Mrogers - Dude did you get the kit from these guys? (bottom pic)

Cheerio

um.....no. the WW bumper is very similar to the scarab one, just a little more aggressive imho. Will look fine if i ever get it painted.

Standard lights will go straight in. No Stillen skirts from Luke, but some nice alternatives. Did you manage to find the skirts on the site?

You're right, the Scarab is a lovely looking bumper (I would say that, I have one!) but yes, its fibreglass, so you'd have to be careful with it.

From my experience, it will clear anything but the harshest speedhump/cushion, but it's too low to clear normal kerbs, and can cause trouble too on steep ramps. If in doubt, drive diagonal :D

Thanks guys - I am quite keen to have matching sideskirts - couldnt find stillen ones on the site but there may be a couple of American suppliers I could look at apparently!

I presume getting SWB skirts will be trickier than the 2+2 versions.

Raz, I have to admit the Scarab is my favourite - I may have to chance it with the kerbs etc. By steep ramps do you mean the type you generally find in multi storeys?? And just to check, you havent had your Z lowered? Which sideskirts go with the scarab bumper - again i couldnt find matching ones from ZCentre.

Have to agree the Wings West looks great - bit too aggressive for a chap like me - I still live with my parents! Will look the biz when its painted.

Thanks in advance!
