Not a great rep for metal head gaskets on the Z32...

Steve :)

Hmmm, thanks for that Steve, no definate answer from that debate as to whether the metal gasket should be used or not.

The plan is to run fairly high boost, ie. 17psi+ when its done, the last thing I want is for the head gasket to go with this increased pressure.....but then if the standard one i scapable of that then so be it....

Has anyone out there experimented with different head gaskets??

Dont listen to anyone metal HG work fine as long as you torque them down properly, in adams case part of his sparkplug broke off and damaged the HG so it began to leak. The other decent way is to ring the heads, macca has this done to his and any decent engine workshop should be able to do this but i put a trust 2mm metal HG on my old zed and it was fine :)

Mike

I have adam's old car and after the metal head gasket scenario he had the head mig wired and it ram at 19 psi with no problems while I was driving it ( apart from a sh1t load of det). When I did my rebuilf, I reused the mig wired heads and hope to run it to 22psi. Not saying that Metal HG is wrong, but mig wired/ copper ringed is an option

Thanks for that Mike, do you know anyone that retails them in the UK? Also, did you go for the ARP studs or just buy some new head bolts?

Thanks.... :)
