me rear lights, which ive had for ages. guess what, a PITA, dont fit that well, will need modifications, and the fog light refuses to fooking work.

 

Cant work out how to get the fooking fog light to work, and had to jump the left hand beam lights to the right so they would come on.

 

just think all i did was take off one part and put another on. go figure.

I am going to get some of them. I know what mark is saying but dont agree with him? Being white on a black car dosent do them any justice so they stick out. But mark if you havent yet, visit the Z centre mate and have a look they look ok colour coded.

cant stand the rear lights on ths car. its the only part of the car i realy dont like. looks like a boody cadilac from the rear.

they could ove done so much better.

I think the '99 spec are a great improvment on the earlier standard lights BUT! its what everyone is getting so IMO it gets a bit boring to see the same thing on everyones car. (in a manner of speaking) so something different is nice and eye catching. I dont unerstand what you are saying Dave. You dont like the new lights or the standard?

Dont get me wrong, some of the LED round rears look nice, not to my taste but I appreciate where their coming from.

 

Phil (Spinksy) has these light(lives int eh saem town as me) and the only time they look good is at night IMO and his opinion.

 

You right it is good to be different and I will always appreciate individuality but not when I think someone has taken what is/was a very nice 'BESPOKE' looking rear and runied it.....all IMO of course....

 

The reason why most have gone down the 90 spec route is because thats what suits the zed best......Nissan did fVck up in so many places with this car, but in the style department, they got it right. Thats not to say a nice bodykit cant enhance it......

mind you, nothing fits on this car of mine.

personally think that the caravan lights are awful (all my opinion), 99 spec or the led rings like sgt c are the best ideas, but may end up following cj and having a full conversion - few ideas for it.

Not that keen on those I have to say. Sorry.

 

Think that one of the nicest things about the Z is the rear lights. Can't beat a set of J-spec ones. Gorgeous!

put clear lenses on mine looks ok :tongue:

I've got the so called 'caravan style lights', I think they look cool especially on my white zed. They are made by Hella and if there good enough to fit on 2001 Lambo Diablo and Pagani Zonda there good enough for me....

It's interesting. Quite a division of opinion on this. I'm quite a fan of the original lights, although wouldn't mind if there were LED strip replacements. I'm definitely not a fan of any of the round lights out there, but that's really just a matter of taste and only my opinion. I don't even really dig the '99 spec lights: prefer smoked, but obviously it depends a lot on the colour of your car. Smoked look great on black or white cars, but I can see that '99 spec look better on some other colours. Not a straightforward decision at any rate.
