Scratching my head so much i've worn a hole in it?????????

I had a problem with my Profec B Spec 2 controller after driving over a bump in the road (i think this night have something to do with it).

I parked the car 2 minutes later then after about 2 hours drove off with no boost on either LOW or HIGH all i was getting was 0.5bar.....

Checked and double checked all electrical connections to the solenoid and the controller. Solenoid definately working as when i apply a current i can hear it click. Also i have power to the controller and all the settings are still there. Also double checked all the hoses and all are connected fine with no apparent air leaks.Gave the conroller and solenoid to Chris at Greddy who sent it to the states for testing.I since put in 1mm boost jests and was getting just under 1bar boost so assumed it was the controller.3 months later i got the controller back from the states and re-fitted today only to find on LOW and on HIGH i'm still only getting 0.5 bar boost? (safety???)

Could anything have come loose or slipped off when i went over a bump?

Are there any other electrical connections that could effect this and cause only 0.5 bar?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as i've no idea what else it could be now????

If anyone has any ideas call my mobile this weekend 07944 045178.

I'll be on line for the next half hour

Thanks for your help

Alex

maybe the small connector (that connects to the solenoid ) at the back of the controller is the problem ? (bend pins/loose/wiring problem)

Perhaps a very wild guess, but check your voltage with running engine.

If it's more then 14V or less then 11V your alternator could be causing the problem

Cheers Eric i'll give it a try right now i'd eat my own hand if i knew it'd fix the problem......

Any other ideas drop me a line.

Thanks again

Alex, given that boost jets work on your car up to 1 bar assuming the contoller is working ok then it must be a pipe or installation problem.

You are defo getting the in and out conections on the controller connect ? not been funny or anything but sometimes a fault can get so frustrating to sort out it is easy to make simple mistakes and you just can not see it.

See I would have thought a controller if connected correctly pipework wise but not functioning or switched off would still give at least standard boost of 9 to 9.5psi not the 0.5 bar ( 7.2psi) you are getting.

.

A very careful inspection again of the pipework route and connection needs to be made, if you could make a quick sketch of how you have piped it makes it easier to look at and may be post here too.

Hope that kind of helps
