Must admit that that last 355 looks almost acceptable! I think they look a bit silly generally. Theres a Ferrari one here in plymouth without alloys and it looks ridiculous as the rear wheels are half a foot inside the body! A Zed looks better than any of these kit cars for me.

Dave

like all replica kits they drive like shit. I often wonder if the guys that drive em also sleep with inflatable dolls, cant say bout the dolls but have driven loads of replica supercars, NONE of them have even come close to me tt z.

I considered getting an AC cobra kit some years back but decided not to bother; every third kit on the roads a fakesnake..

Id like to try my hand at a kit someday...beach buggy, anyone??

yeh a beech buggy dont replicate somthing one cant afford http://www.manxbuggies.co.uk

either that or a replica of something so impossibly rare, like a Corvette Cheetah.

The Lambo: either the original Countach is one butt-ugly car, or that kit is an awful copy. You decide, but I'm plumping for the latter. Naive question: with the amount of cash you must have to spend to finish assembling one of these kits and get it looking even half decent surely you might as well just go out and buy one of the real thing?

The problem with MR2 conversions for the Ferrari is that, well basically you can always tell that it's really an MR2. That and the fact that it looks like it's been assembled in somebody's shed always gives it away.

AND another thing. If you REALLY want supercar performance and you're willing to spend some cash (which basically as far as I can see you are if you get one of these kits), then why not buy a zed, or a supra, or a Skyline, or an 80s Corvette or 90s Camaro, or even a flaming GTO for goodness sake. I mean jeez, it's not like there aren't a ton of alternatives. I can only conclude that I'm missing something very crucial here.

But making kits is sooo fun

And some people prefer to tinker with cars rather than `actually` drive them.

(I wont mention people of this ilk who are so common in the sailing community...)
