My alarm has stopped beeping when i press the lock button. It still arms so all the indicators flash twice as before but for some reason the doors dont auto lock...I can lock the driver door manually and its fine, central locking works but not when i press the lock button...

anyone think the lack of beep and the locking are related or had this happen to them?

I havent touched the clifford set up stuff so it cant be that...only thing is that the battery might have been disconnected but cant be sure...

???

Dont mention Clifford on here it seems to be a swear word .... dont know if this is any help but I know on mine I can press a button on the remote and it silences the bleeps so just the lights flash when arming / disarming, is there a chance you maybe pressed it by mistake?

not for the last two weeks running mate unless the button is stuck!

must admit the alarms been fine until now...ill have to get it properly checked out i guess, cant be that complicated..surely something just needs spraying with WD40 :)

Hey Robert,

I have a clifford on mine and it has automatically turned itself onto silent arming a while ago. I stopped worrying about that.

With regards to the door locking, I had the same problem on mine, I could use the key and the central locking worked but the keyfob wouldn't work. you could have to replace the motor that links the keyfob to the central locking (about £10).

I hope this helps. Mike...

I can switch mine onto silent arming disarming premantently, there is a long list of things you can do that are not mentioned in the manual.

ok to me sounds like 2 things have happened.

1) its been put on silent arming: so remove press the 2 buttons on the left side together at the same time to put back to bleep noise.

2) each door will have a motor in it , connected to the motor is a metal rod which connects to the locking mechanism. Sounds like these may have come off ( which isnt uncommon) , They are only help on with a small clamp. This way the central locking still works just the locking via the remote fob wont.

When you press the lock/unlock button on the remote , Can you hear the motors working ( should hear a clunk noise as it tries to lock) .??

On this note does anyone have a manual that they can scan for me as I havn't a clue what the different buttons do! I like having remote locking though.

Cheers muchly Dave

They can all be downloaded from Cliffords site bud, what model you got and if you cant find it and I will look for you.

thanks chaps, weird thing, the doors are now locking again bu the sound hasnt come back, as you say im sure theyre separate issues, youre probably right the motor is on its way out if its an intermittent problem...Ill have to check it out.
