Hickstead Showground, Sunday 17th July

 

This is a laid-back meet for Jap car enthusiasts, organised by Japanese Performance magazine, and located at the excellent surroundings of Hickstead Showground (well signposted just off the A23, north of Brighton). If you want to confirm a special area for your club and members, please contact the organiser Nick Duncan (details below) or just turn up on the day and take pot luck!

 

Those of you who came last year will remember there was certainly a good collection of machines. There will again be trophies for best cars on the day.

 

Trade stand space is free for JP advertisers, and there's free car parking for those who arrive in non-Jap cars.... in another adjoining field though!

 

Hope to see you there! Come and meet the guys and girls behind the magazine.

My brother in law Chris is also coming to this in his '91 UK TT. This will be his first meet in his Zed so let's have a few more club cars guys...

I'll be there. Last went in 2003, nice location, very hot day and there was a good turnout of Japanese cars.

Apparently, the gates open at 09:30, but I propose that we meet at Pease Pottage services at 10:00am, moving off at 10:15 to arrive at Hickstead at 10:30. If you're going to get there later, let me know so we can reserve the appropriate amount of club space for you.

 

Let me know if anyone else fancies coming along to this - should be a great warm up for JAE ;)

Sorry I had to leave a little early and didn't say goodbye to everyone, but a family crisis had reared its head (5 missed calls on my mobile!) :(

well done lads, great day out! very relaxed and nice to see a couple of faces from bolney as well as meeting some new peeps!

 

was impressed with our turnout - for what turned out to be quite a small show, our bunch of zeds looked pretty good!

 

glad somebody else knew where they were going tho!!! (that was pretty close!)

 

hope all is ok with the family steve?

 

spent a lot of the day calming down matey with the 350 next to me - his supercharger arrives either today or tomorrow, which is a right ******* cos iv always een happy in the knowledge that mine was faster than his!!!

 

all in all a good day with beautiful weather, shiny motors, a few little darlings walking around and "fosters and burgers"!!!

 

will get pics up as soon as i get em!
