Just to tide me over for a year or so. Got to say though, amazing level of spec for £2k.

It's this 3.0i V6 Elite model.

Its a nice motor mate, had a look at one of these a couple of years ago, the spec on them for the price is fantastic!!

Nice little buy that.

surey not Bob! If that is the case, I may have to conzult my friend in the World of Zeds!

Stick some blue stobes in the front bumpers and you've got a nice un-marked police car.......... :smash:

Still a lot of cay for the money though, and you've kept with the 3.0 v6 theme.

Nice one.

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

nice one mate - I've always fancied one of them myself - like you say, lots of metal for the dosh!

You'd be surprised, I had a 24v Senator, 4 years old, if I wore my yellow coat driving, every one moved out the 3rd lane!!

Just bought a 1993 Carlton Diplomat for £200. with mot till Nov. Needs a few tlc jobs but its got a great spec.

Can anybody change the alternator belt for me? I mighyt have ago myself when the haynes manual turns up.

vauxall this then? look at dat son.

Shouldn't be too hard to do the belt mate. Don't know these cars but usually its the easiest to get to (ie don't have to remove any other belts). Just work out how to loosen the tension to remove the old one. Then do the opposite to fit the new one, if it makes a noise it's probably still too loose.

One of the oldest jokes around

"What kind of japanese cars is dat dad?"

"Dat son, is a japanese car"

Can't believe we got all this way down this thread before someone pushed the VAUXHALL ALERT BUTTON!

I've been there myself - a 2.0L CDi, urgh, shudder at the thought! Hope things pick up for you again soon mate!

Good cars, watch for manifold leaks, notorious, and collapsed cats,oh and a lad at work has one with 18s on it,oh and i nearly bought one last month but all those i went to look at were crap,so gave up and got a 97 Scorpio Ultima, will do for a while ;)

Tony

if you need any help im a master tech at vauxhall have bben working on them for a while most common things are egr valves and rocker cover gaskets leaking can also get locking kit for belt and its not as easy as you might think its roughly the same as a zed with the white lines on the belt but then you need the timing plate to lay over the cam faces to alighn the two banks with tdc but hope it works out well for you and their marginally less comfy than zed seats imhop lol

Yeh my rocker is leaking on mine, that looks a job i can handle lol. Mine a 2.0i Carlton and looks like all the belts have to come off to get to the alternator belt.

Thanks JonZed - There does seem to be a little seepage but there is no funny smells yet. I'll keep an eye on it,

Thanks again.
