I have been running 1.0mm boost jets in my car now for just over 2 months and the psi has been holding at 11psi . Today i decided to put 0.8mm boost jets in to raise the boost a little bit more but nothing over 15psi of course, anyway after 1 hour of fitting the jets i ran her down the d road and for some reason with the 0.8mm jets i only get 10psi . Shouldnt the boost rise when fitting smaller jets or is there a standard boost controller somewhere not allowing me to go any higher than 10 psi ???

just been thinking , which pipes should the jets go in the two bigger diameter pipes or the two smaller ones ???

think its the smaller pipes mate - should be a straight swap for the 1.0mm's :confused:

anymore suggestions, also got liek awhinning noise from under the bonnet maybe boost leak but if i flaw it it still only goes to 10psi and holds rock steady so dont think a boost leak is in question here.

 

any more pointers as too why 1.0mm tips only giving me 11 psi and putting 08mm tips is now only giving me 10psi ??

sounds deffo like a boost leak from somewhere - check the four large pipes along the front/side of the block for cracks/splits and that they are seated firmly and that the jubilee clips are done up tight.

 

...could also be something like a wastegate stuck open :confused:
