Going to start to replace the O ring seal at the back of the gearbox today but not looking forward to it :cry:

Advice so far :-

 

1 mark the prop shaft as it is balanced

2 use a special tool to remove the seal ,not got one so screw driver will have to do :rolleyes:

3 make sure you put the seal back in straight ,block of wood :smash:

if you remove the old seal neatly you can then place the new one in and use the old one to knock it in. place on top of old one in other words so it goes in straight,dont forget a smear of silicone around the seal so you get good sealing and extra precaution!
