Hi guys, is it possible to run a Turbo Timer and an alarm/immobiliser on the car at the same time?

When my car came over from Japan I had an alarm/immobiliser fitted cos of insurance purposes, but the people who installed it said they had to remove the turbo timer because the 2 units cant run simultaneously. The immobiliser would cut in before the turbos had cooled down.

I am a little concerned that i am not letting the car run for long enough after driving it for the turbos to cool down. How long should i be looking at?

Cheers

Ross

have just fitted a blitz fatt, have a toad ai606 cat 1. will be getting the alarm blokey to come back and fit a little black box that tells the alarm to lock itself once the turbo timer has finished.

at the moment, the alarm will not set unless you wait for the turbo timer to finish and then set it manually. The litle black box means u can set the alarm, and it will arm itself afterwards.

just avoid booting it for the last minute or two of your journey, if you do kane it all the way home then let it idle for at least a minute

Mine is a Laserline 996 cat 1. Would the box that you are getting work with mine? Or is it a Toad add-on?

If the former, what is the box called and where can i get it from/how much?

Thanks very much :)

its a toad add on, dennis, the bloke that fitted my alarm would service your area too - i shall get more details and let ya know!
