So how've you managed to check the config then? Confused mate! wink.gif

You found it suddenly or someone put it in for you?

timmy i got another unit for my frined in south africa. i have used that one.

why is that such a scandel. Why on earth would i lie or make something like that up????? frown.gif

I was only asking mate? Not accusing you of bullshitting was I? biggrin.gif

You sure that's where you've been going Xoticar? Coz I hear you're more into Erotica mate...LOL biggrin.gif

So how much did they charge ? Xoticar not Erotica of course ...

not sure yet to be honest.

But he did one hell of a job i have to say.

Simon the mechanic works very very very neatly and it was all checked over before we started it.Would have been less confusing if we had the diagnostics cable.

Took about 3-4 hours in and amongst other things.

I just love my TC.

I hated driving my Z in the wet before - now it's great fun on 15-20% slip out of every junction I come to. LOL

I'm just waiting for the police to catch me at it!

So much safer when you are feeling a bit shitty in the morning crawling to work - no more unexpected slides when you are not ready for it.

Gives so much more confidence to drive quickly in every condition.

Im starting to regret not getting TC now. Twice recently I have had to pull out of races with slower cars in the wet. One was even a pug gti, he was goin over roundabouts with his foot to the floor but I couldnt get any grip in the first 4 gears frown.gif

Paul

you need to give me a demo duffman when im over your way biggrin.gif

Makes me laugh that all the people who were slagging it off are now fitting it! biggrin.gif

Get it Paul, it just takes that "scarey in the wet" element out of the equation. I think this is a good thing especially when I heard a story a while back.

Not gonna mention what type of car it was, just to say that they are fitted with TC as standard which is by all accounts ARSE!!!

Dry day in a town and a race kicks off, but this certain car driver gets a tad caught out and his BIGGISH motor spins in the middle of a pedestrian crossing! GULP! Nearly taking out two people and a pram!

Not that racing in a built up area is big and clever to say the least but I don't think any of this took place at considerable speed! wink.gif

Girl controll !!! thats what a cossie boy told me i had today lol.

I honestly like it for the noise it makes biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Xoticar do the job for £110 +vat of course.

Again i am very very very happy with the results. Simon the mech is the best thign since sliced cheese biggrin.gif I really was impressed with how neatly he works.

I really can't understand why people slag the system off and reckon they don't need it... Even Ayrton Senna was killed in the end because he got into a bit of a mess - different circumstances, granted, but who can honestly say they've never had a near one??? Gosh you've all gone quiet now haven't you biggrin.gif There's nothing manly about crashing your car cos you didn't beleive you needed traction control is there? At the end of the day this comes down to people 'believing' they are the best driver on the planet - which they aren't...

We'll try and pull another group buy off once we get in the new year cos now its looking like there's gonna be enough people. Paul, no probs m8 - this means there's gotta be another northern meet though wink.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

CheerZ,

Andy

traction control would not have saved the senna meister. thats the risk of being at the forefront of automotive technology. aerodynamics after the initial break of his steering made it impossible for him to get out of trouble........after his crash the f1 cockpits were redesigned to offer more protection as he could have survived with the modifications made. traction control is good to have but for me its just one more thing to break on a z and i quite like knowing that if you misbehave too much your z will teach you a lesson. will tc now make you push just that little bit further and get you into more trouble than before

Hehe - Senna wasn't killed by the steering breaking - it didn't!!! His car bottomed out due to the tyres being cold after the safety car had been out. Once he'd bottomed out there was no 'ground effect' sucking the car down so he basically lost grip then over corrected throwing himself into the wall..... Shame!!!

This is why the cars now have a plank down the centre of the undertray - this means that even if the car bottoms out there is still most of the chassis with air flowing under it to preserve the ground effect....

CheerZ,

Andy

dont you think it is better left alone frown.gif

My absolute hero, will never forget that day.

Now back to TC biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Craig you are a very bad man influencing me like that wink.gif
