Hello all,

Cleaned all of my injector and coil pack connecters because I thought it would cure an erratic idleing problem but now it seems as if the car is only running on five cylinders. What do I do next? :headvswal

I am going to fit all new connecters at the weekend. But what else could it be?

There's a good chance (since you've moved the connectors whilst cleaning) that one of the c/p connectors or injector connectors has a dodgy lead which is causing one of the cylinders not to fire.

Same thing happened to me - wiggling the wires to each connector on the afflicted cylinder will probably get it to fire again.

Am hopfully going to get a full wiring loom before the weekend, so will be having some fun splicing and soldering the new connectors. Thanks for the advice!

:D If she is only running on 5 mate ? try your PTU connections as we knocked mine when doing the Boost controller install and only ran on 5 till we cleaned and placed it back on...:D HTH's

mine ran like sh...t untill i replace air flow meter..

worth checking .... my 2c for what its worth..

water getting into the air filter/AFM is another cause. mine feels like it runs on 4 or 5 cylinders for a few hours after the air filter gets soaked.
