Water pumps

 

If ever you need reminding the importance of using genuine Nissan parts only, then take a look at the link below.

 

The pic shows two water pumps the one on the left is a genuine Nissan part, and the one on the right is a Blue Print one,

 

Clearly the right hand pump impellor is smaller, has less fins and the depth of the pump bowl area is much shallower.

 

It would be fair to say that the Nissan pump will do a better job of circulating the water.

 

Makes you wonder how many zeds are driving round with the lower spec water pump fitted and the owner is blissfully unaware, in fact may in be quite content that the pump has been changed...any one with mystery overheating may want to check they have a genuine part fitted.

Just to dispell this mis information.

 

The pump on the left is a Z32 one.

 

The pump on the right is a Z31 one.

got a cheap one on my car.

 

no problems what so ever.

 

does the job fine, temps low

i was always told the blue print one were made from the same place as genuine ones ??? :) hence the cost being more for blue print than other aftermarket parts
