I NEED HELP!!!! why when i back off the throttle my car backfires and jerks about like a ten dollar whore, Its doing my head in :headvswal also when its cold it misses like blind darts player, and when its warm it only misses like a short sighted darts player lol, its using a lot of petrol (put £20 in and get a max of 50 miles and thats taking it easy) done a ecu check and got a 55, but it doesnt seem to boost very well now (my stock gauge is knackered). the thins that i have done so far is as follows

 

1: changed injector conns

2: checked all other electrical conns including dett sensor and temp sensor

3: took off and checked afm (seems ok) but if any one wants to let me try theirs i would be gratefull :bow:

4: had it for a diagnostic down at nissan (everthing ok but it cant be so what do them fookers know)

5:checked ptu with someone elses thats ok

6: lashed it with a stick didnt help at all lol

 

So what do i do now please help there is a stella in it for anyone who sorts this prob (1 330ml glass bottle nicely chilled) :duffer: Also when u floor it it seems to miss to the point where it stars slowing down and sounds like it is running on three cylinders

Check TPS and temp sensor again. Replace if necessary.

is the tps the connector on tyhe side of the phlenum (next to throttle body)

still having trouble huh.

I'm having similar trouble although nowhere near as bad.

If all else fails, you may need to monitor your fuel pressure.

I've heard that you can rig up an fuel pressure guage to your fuel line temporarily to monitor pressure under all conditions.

I think it should be in the range between 35-50 psi depending on conditions.

37 at idle rising to 44 when you press the go pedal.

Could show up a blocked filter or faulty pressure regulator.

Just make sure you have no leaks. (I taped my guage temporary to bonnet. didn't want it inside car!)

guages are available that read to 100psi for less than twenty quid.
