Hi all,

Just a quicky, where is the cheapest place, all in, for 99 spec rear lights?

Ideally I want a clear tail light aswell as indicators, for a totally silver rear end, any ideas anyone? - no DIY please - thats why I need to buy them in the first place!! :)

Cheers in advance

Adrian

The only way for clear tail and indicators lights is DIY.

99 Spec lights are clear indicators only.

There was a place in the USA that did totally clear rear lights with coloured LEDs behind the lenses.

Do a search here, but IIRC they cost about £600 for a pair (Yup, that's in pounds, not dollars) without VAT and import duty

Don't forget if you do a DIY conversion on the red tail lights too, you need to keep the reflectors for the MOT ;) :nono:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I think they are so desireable !!

Sooooo tempting - even at that price ($1150 IIRC) !

Looked at these myself before.

Fecking lovely, but fecking expensive.

Do they keep the orange turn indicators or just use flashing red, which is the norm for a Yank car?

Its a shame someone doesnt do these conversions in the uk. good call on the indicator being red! - obviously - not obviously thought about when you get worked up about how good the lights look and how much you want them!

I've converted both mine to white over the weekend and it cost me a can of frosting spray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If someone wants to put a few pics up i'll send them over.....

Yes Please!

I'd be interested to see this Frosting spray effect.

But the alternative is just to buy 2 kits of the Clear lights. Dozens of us have purchased them from the US and done the conversion, and it would be no more difficult to replace the brake lense at same time.
