Hi,

My mate's got this problem with his PC where his browser automatically re-directs to quicknavigate.com. I know Smithy had a similar problem recently and managed to sort it. The problem he has is it will not restore to a previous point at all. Has anyone ever heard of this browser problem and sorted it?

Thanks

Vijay

hi vijay

its spyware m8

they are all pretty similar,,they re-direct you to a premium rate charge

it keeps changing your internet settings

get a spyware package

i believe you can download one called spybot

p,s posted your cheque this morning m8

If it still persists, you might need to delve into the registry - IE (assuming thats the browser in question) has loads of stuff in there that controls its operation and a lot of it can get overrun by crap like this.

Wish I knew the whole lot of them for you, but look at stuff such as:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search

Good luck
