had my zed in today, as it cut out yesterday night. and didnt start again, checked the starter motor, alternator etc. Mechanic said its the fueling?!?

 

Ive put a new battery on from another car and it still does the same, not battery.

 

 

any ideas as i dont want my auto electrician to spend hours trying to find the fault if its a simple one?

 

she cranks over but doesnt want to start, whiteish smoke when it does start?

When you finially got it started did it run like shit and you had to fight to keep it going?

 

If so, try cleaning the connectors on the water temperature sensor. Take the sensor out and give that a clean too.

We have a branch in Alford mate if you want to pop over we can see if it is the PTU,

Bring the Knackered one with you and we will see if it works on another zed?

 

It is a the small box on the drivers side cam cover with a pattern on it like the inside of a very small george foreman grill, that is the technical description from the Nissan manual BTW :D

sounds good, but as i said, im useless with the engine! where am i looking?underneath or on top???? (he says looking around for the George Forman Grill?!?!!?)

plus i cant get her to start at all now, wouldnt want to risk driving her if i did jump her
