I work within the railway industry as a Signal and telecoms technician Commonly know as the S&T.

lol only when i need to be. spend the rest of the time shouting at people for dumping stuff in my warehouse :)

work in a small engineering firm generally using manual lathes and manual/cnc mills

can class me as a maintance/mechanical engineer engineering machinist toss pot whatever you fancy really

 

most of our work is making food factory machine tooling, but also dabble in making marine parts eg for sunseekers. and have ago at anything if financially viable for jo bloggs on the street

 

and referbishment work eg bus suspension pivot castings.

 

prevoiusly i used to make valves for the petrochemical industry

before that worked in a fabrication workshop structual steel work

Funny thing is, you go into Asda (usually staffed by overweight girls with greasy hair) and they have a HUGE badge with a smilex on it and a 'Happy to Help' logo underneath and they generally have the face of a wet Wednesday!! Just looks very funny!
