SORRY. BUT HAD TO DO THIS:

FOOK YOU

:xxx:

That's 175 mph right there ... sweet

Hate this kind of thing, if he was so unsure of the car and really needed to test it he could in no way have be driving safely as he was not familier with the car. And was unaware of its capabilitys.

Ficking ****ers.

I'm not justifying the police officers actions, however, we are not in possession of the full facts and as such are unable to draw a reliable conclusion to these circumstances. Granted it sounds ridiculous that he has been cleared but we do need the full facts. The police have a hard enough time getting the job with the lack of support from the public, ie I saw such and such do this but I'm not making a statement! Well that will get a conviction....NOT! Everyone is too eager too slag others off without knowing the full facts. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law and if found guilty it must be beyond reasonable doubt.

The police does not tracks to test vehicles on either and they do have to keep on top of their driving skills and from my knowledge of police driving courses safety is paramount and they are very intensive, they do not just say here are the keys. He will have undergone at least 10 weeks intensive driving instruction. The courses are hard and they do have to keep up their skills. Again I feel 159mph seems too fast.

What people do not realise that there are a lot of people out there who think they are good drivers but they tend to be the worst because they are over confident and normally arrogant which makes them dangerous. Just because you have never had an accident either, they may be down to luck. You may have made risky decisions and got away with it but a police driver is constantly accessing road conditions, etc... and deciding whether to continue. If they can justify the speed they are travelling at and the situation warrants it then there should be no problems.

Finally you would not believe the obstacles police officers have to overcome to get their job done, they are continually have to explain their actions. I can assure you in everyday driving police officers are not above the law although the Road Traffic Act does provide exemptions and until we know the full circumstances of this particular incident none of us can pass judgement.

I know I have gone on a bit but it annoys me when people make assumptions.

Spot on. and another thing....did he have the blue lights flashing as a warning to other road users.

Sorry yampie but thats a crock of sh1t. I work in a safety criticle Environment and to do my job takes a lot of training. but if i abuse the rules I get the fookin sack mate. there is no excuse he broke the law and as I said before he is not above it. Sorry mate dont want a slangin match but you are wrong....although i do respect your opinion?

I suppose though if a friend or family member had a gun pointed at their head they would accept that the reponse from the police would take sometime because they didn't exceed the speed limit, I personally would want them there asap.

I agree with that, but everyone is pissed off that he "tested" read that had some fun, on public highways not on a testing ground. and got off scott free

If he was purely driving at 159mph for no justifiable reason then I think he should have been disqualified from driving and maybe even loose his job.

Disgusting!! I'm a class 1 lorry driver an see the muppets doing just this sort of thing every night up an down the M5 in Hereford an worcs, full on motorway cars, mercs n volvo's absolutely flatt out, they rock the artic fully freighted at 44 tonne when they come by an scare the living s**t outa me, no blue lights, no two tones nothing. They should be prosecuted like all the rest of us in quick cars an on bikes.

I sold my bike last year after a bike cop told me an a mate on a sunday ride out that they were briefed on sunday mornings, UNLESS A CAR IS DOING SOMTHING ABSOLUTELY REDICULOUS, LEAVE EM BE, GO FOR THE BIKES. Gitts.

so what was so different about this car compared to all other cars he has drove, if he was so expirenced any car at any speed would would be in his capabilities, i think you are missing the point, what they are trying to say is that he wasnt on his way to someone with a gun to his head, he didnt have his lights flashing and sirens blaring warning other drivers of his presence and was blatantly speeding for no reason like viniboy said dont want to get into a slagging match just want to point out what these guys are trying to say

BUT! he wasn't on the job was he? there was no emergency or anyone getting shot. They cant just use the public highway to speed test their cars and bikes. next they will want to test out their guns on a saturday morning at Brent Cross shopping centre?

Lets get this straight then:

To save someone from Potential danger its ok to endanger others???

food for thought. I dont hate the police. they got a job to do. But i do hate Hypocrites.

Exactly, no lights, no horns, BAN EM!!

I don't care whether he was the creme de la creme, or the shite of the shite, 159mph is unforgiveable. I was caught by the specs cameras in Nottingham and I'll probably get 4 points and a nice fine and I was probably doing less than 5mph over the speed limit. That fecker does, not 10, not 20, not 70 BUT 89 mph more than he should have been, and he gets let off cus he's the creme de la ****1n creme.

I don't give a sh1t whether he is GOD, 159mph in a man of his position is wrong. WRONG!!!! WRONG!!!!

Testing the car my 4rse! Double standards!!!

...and to make it worse, I bet when he got back to the station, they all congratulated him and said well done. I'm not against coppers in general because I couldn't do their job but that is, well, NOT RIGHT!

have none of you guys ever found yourself on a quiet stretch of motorway at night , and wanted to test you're Z? chill.

When I was a field Engineer I used the M6 in Cumbria most days, I often saw T5s flat out heading towards Penrith with no lights on etc. I used to cruise at a decent speed and they would pass me like I was stood still. Also in 1990 after getting nicked for doing an average speed of 100.1, I was banned for 2 weeks. Afterwards, North Wales traffic cops knew my car and would drive right up my ass at night to try to provoke me into speeding, they would eventually give up and race ahead with no lights at 140mph+ in their Senators then wait on bridges down the A55 hoping that I would think I was safe and gun it. Brunstrom needs a good slap, fooking tw@t has prevailed here far too long. Zero tolerance to save lives? Well why the fook are cameras strategically placed where there are no pedestrians and on downhill stretches I wonder. I bet the Goverment love that kunt.

Yes Chewie.....BUT!. If I saw YOU doing 150 mph I wouldnt want to nick you even if I could? THATS THE POINT MATE.

Why should he be allowed to get off scot free when anyone else would get an automatic ban for doing just 100 MPH?

There was a case a few years back when a bloke in Norfolk (I think)??? got done doing 160 MPH on a motorbike and eventually ended up doing time for it?? (mind you it was apparently a 30 MPH limit) :headvswal

It seems that some people dont get the point of this debate???

This is what happens when you give thug with big boots a Volvo T5 to play with.

I should know I play with mine most days. OOOOWWER :slap:

Even without the boots

 :D

ooh it's question time, debate lmao, but only if you agree with me

any knobhead who does 160 through a 30mph deserves all he gets

as i assume it means there are houses/schools etc??

yes the guy has got away with speeding, BUT don't forget who prosecuted him, the police, don't forget who saw the video and didn't try to cover it up, the police, if anyone wants a good kicking its the moron of a judge who gave this guy an out by his comments, the ONLY thing about this case that would worry me is if this guy was ever given a speed camera and asked to help prosecute motorists
