Hello all,

On Sunday a yellow 300ZX (red-ish wheels) has been seen (by some friends) doing burn outs around Warrington (if anyone knows the area near the Duck Pond/Bishopdale Great Sankey) in a built up area and also managed to knock down (which was seen by quite a few people) and kill a dog which wandered into the road in front of it, just after they perfomed a hand-brake turn in the middle of the road! I've been informed that the police have been contacted and apparently SOCO came down and worked on the tyre marks which were left on the road. Apparently, as it's pretty distinctive, it's also been spotted in the Car Park at Great Sankey Forum, Saturday morning.

 

I've looked on here before when I was looking at possibly getting a 300ZX some time ago, so I know this sort of behaviour is not what you guys condone. The point of this post is that if anyone knows this guy, could they let him know that he can't do this sort of thing on the open road never mind when there's kids around as next time it could be a child not a dog!

No, the ones which saw the dog knocked over and killed were a group of kids. It was only then that the others came out as they shot off down the road, going the wrong way round a round-a-bout!

Couldve been stolen, its not really the way us Zed boys treat our cars tbh

I saw it parked up at Sankey Forum on the Saturday, it was on the Sunday it was seen f*cking around, so don't reckon it was stolen, Daddy's perhaps?

Im sure if anyone does know who it is on the forum they can come forward, or PM or email me chunk@300zx.co.uk if they want to keep anonymous.

Mate this kind of stupidity is a crime and people of such low inteligence or feckless inconcideration for everyone else should never be allowed a licence.

 

Having said that he proberbly hasn't got a licence or insurance and doesn't give a toss that his actions will peanalise more decent motorists.

I lived in Warrington until quite recently - can't say that I've seen it around, but I'll keep my eyes open for it. I still go back a lot.

 

I'd just like to point out that it's NOT me. Mine is yellow but with silver wheels and a big daft spoiler on the back (what were those japs thinking?).

 

The daft sod should be put in the middle of the road and run over with his own/daddies car. And if it is his dads car, then the dad should be done as well for being daft enough to let his idiot son out in it.

Was Talking to the Guys at dp today and they have seen this car. dp is down by Sankey Bridges and they said it's not a Z. They recon its a modded Honda Prelude and they think the driver should have his go-nads hilti gunned to the steering wheel.

No further update. Just wanted to say that I was told on Scoobynet you ZX guys were a sound lot and reading all of the replies has just confirmed it.

 

As to it being a Prelude, my lad confirmed the rear wheels were the ones spinning. Prelude's are front wheel drive? Everyone I know who's seen it reckons it was a ZX?

Saw it parked up Stockon Heath way on Tuesday. Looks bloody awful too. Big red corvette style rear lights.

I know which one you mean.... Wasnt it advertised in autotrader for ages...

I also think I know the one you mean- Yellow, with oval corvette lights at the back, the rear hatch had some join lines filled in so it had a very smooth look at the back. I think it had a shiny brown wood steering wheel and gearknob as well as shiny black alloys that had red lines going round the rims. I reckon it was a SWB manual TT, but my memory isn't THAT good.

Whoever has it will have no choice but to break it or spend ££££ having it converted as it ranked among the most distinctive zeds I'd ever seen- the front was pretty normal but if you see the back your instant reaction will be WTF? (i.e. there are no other zeds with a rear like it)

If it's that one it was being sold by Keighley Trade Centre last year. They had it for ages, had a good look around it one day as I was up there looking at another motor and it looked an absolute **** up of a conversion job - might be worth giving them a shout and see who it was they sold it to?
