Just wondering if somone could help me out with my fuel guage problem. The problem is intermitant. The guage works normal for weeks and then all of a sudden gets stuck around the half way point. Noticed it today when i put some fuel in. Had qtr of a tank already in and then added another £25. Then to test it put another £5 in and the needle never moved FFS.

How does the guage work?? cus i know it won't be normal because its a Zed

Cheers

Maybe it is just a dodgy fuel sensor?? I'm no expert LOL but I have had this problem on other cars and it always turned out to be a knackered fuel sensor ... or one that was breaking down ... causing an intermitent fault.

Have you got chrome speedo rings fitted? have seen the odd problem with needles catching on these if not placed correctly.

has it got aftermarket dials ( luminescent type ) ??? these can make the needle stick if not fitted correctly also !! best way to do this is make sure the car is full of petrol

take out the fuel gauge .......dash board has to come apart for this,( do a search on the forum ) very carefully remove the gauge needle without bending the shaft , and position the needle at 100% full put it together and the gauge should read fine (check that it has clearance over the full range of its movement when the gauges are removed before putting it all back together though )
