my boyfriends aircon aint working, it uses the old R12 system but the gas for these is now illegal. There are substitute gases but these will leak out quicker. Does anyone know of a fitting kit that would allow for a conversion from the old system to the new R134 system and roughly how much this would cost?

ok any chance of knowing where the kit with the modiefied pipes can be purchased from also it mentions in the attachment that the old oil will sit happily at the bottom of the system without damaging anything so how much of the PAG oil should be pumped into the vehicle. have done alot of work on AC systems but have no experiance with converting the system from old R12. cheers

There is a drop in replacement. No mods needed. Do a search on it

there is a no on the atachment i posted on that thread for Vehvac. try giving them a ring, unsure whether they supply outside of the trade tho
