Thinking of de catting but want to see how much difference it makes and what effect it wil have on the turbo life?????

I've been considering this as well, would like to know the pro's and con's.

Most people have said that it make a noticable difference. It does put more strain on the turbo seals as there is reduced back pressure so the turbo seals life won't be so good. Lots of people on here have decatted, some have had no problems at all, some have problems straight away, a few after a few months ... Really depends on the state of your turbo seals.

 

I am guessing the gain in BHP would be around 10 - 12 bhp.

generally if you have an issue straight away chances are the seals were failing already and the cats were hiding the evidence
