thinking of trading in my z and my 4x4 on a 350z, thought on this :confused:

would ony leave me with a 350 and my 206, nothing for going off road and nothing for towing, is it worth it????????

well If you dont tow anything.. then I am all for it mate ...

try one and find out for yourself, from my limited knowledge of them it will handle better than a 300 but will be slower in a straight line, look great with the nismo kit and volk wheels on though :)

personally if i had cash burning a hole in my pocket i'd spend it on upgrading the 300, a few k's will get you a set of coilovers, big brakes, a bodykit and some engine upgrades.

If you like a 350Z that much then go buy one and be happy,I bought a 4X4 and it almost cost as much as a new 350 and I have TBH I am so happy I did because i love it!

just done new brakes, engine has few bits done,just put new 18,s, mainly been doing the iside ful boot build with 7in drive screen in boot with ps2,4 x 10 in subs amp, lot of blue neon, sunvisers with 8 inch screnn built in, drive out screen in dash, but alway wanting a new car

The 350 is a nice car, just getting a bit common now ;)

 

I would have one myself but think the 300ZX has more character and style. I have thought about replacing my ZX the last couple of months but for the money I'd spend on a 350Z I'd buy a 6-7 year old XKR instead.

 

Anyway, if you're worried about having nothing to go off road in, why not ditch the 206?

only just bouht the 206 for the misus to take the boy to nursary and do the shopping, would loose to much on it if sold in this soon, plus just put load of bits on it or her

I like the 350z, its had some great reviews as a drivers car (except for some interior build quality niggles), although it takes some slack from other Jap car fans, mainly on its looks :confused:

 

I believe the 300zx is a better car, but If its a Brand New Sports coupe you want for under £25k, then I think its a good choice.

Its not an upgrade to the zed, its an upgrade to the 240/260/280z. The 300zx was aimed as competition to the High-end Porsches (944 + 928), and was a lot more expensive than the 350z. The 350z is aimed more at the Porsche Boxter.

Hmmm difficult choice - I think if I was prepared to spend £25k on a car then a 350Z would be right up there, however I'm not, so, I have my 300ZX and a bucketful of other things like holidays, a new PC and a good social life - oh yeah and a Zafira as a second car LOL

You mentioned you've got a kid, so remember there wont be any nice family days out in a 350 cos it has no backseats ;)

Buy the 350. Save some more cash. Fit the Veilside Type III wide arch kit. Fit some lightweight Volks racing alloys. Fit a supercharger. Et Bob est ton oncle. :D

Well, I agree with part 1 of that statement (other than about getting a Supra(!)), but part two is incorrect.

 

Drive both of them and you'll know why. I have and the Audi TT is no match for a Z, in any way shape or form. It's just a bauble with funky styling inside. 350 is a muscle car, make no mistake, even if it does give a little to the 300 in straight line speed, it's superior in terms of handling, braking, steering IMO, and I have to say the ownership experience is a LOT less stressful and expensive!! ;).

 

My advice would be to drive it and see what you think. It caused me to part with my "I'm never gonna sell this car" 300 by the time my test drive was over.

 

As an aside, it may well be, however, that I'll be trading back to a 300 in the not-too-distant again, but that's because the 300 is the best car my present financial position will allow, not because I've gone off the 350. It's a great motor. :D As is the 300.
