Urgent advice needed on alloys before 5:30 deadline!

Right, it's panic stations this end, but in a good way (I think!)! Basically I've been offered a set of top notch 19" Trafficstar DTM alloys for silly cheap money (relatively speaking!). The downside is they're in a different offset (20 front, 17 rear) and I have to decide before close of business today! HOWEVER...I'm fiting custom wide arches which will require the use of some major spacers anyway (from Luke probably) and I also have one of Harve's camber correction kits to put on. Can anyone tell me definitively if I'll be ok with these alloys with this set-up?

Cheers,

Leigh.

Save your cash.

I was in the very same boat 2 years ago with some Blitz wheels, the fronts would not clear my Brembo brakes.

Thanks Mac :)

These are the alloys if anyone wants to know what I'm going on about!:

I had the same thing in mind as you did Iain, wondering if they'd clear my Brembo's but with that offset it should kick the wheels out instead of bringing them in though? Which is a good thing really considering the size of the arches going on!

Just rang them back and found out the PCD is the same and the centre bore is 72 which although it's different from the Zed's 66, it means that they can be "ringed" and reduced to fit.

Any more input would be great folks!

you say cheap, if really, really cheap then get them you can have the offset modified at an alloy wheel specialist !!!

Yup, really, REALLY cheap! And that's a very good point mate, cheers! You won't believe what's just happened though! I just called them back to confirm some things and the guy I spoke to before had got the name of he alloy wrong...they're not Trafficstar DTM's but STM's ! The one I'd originally phoned to get a quote for! :D I liked the DTM's but I was looking for something a bit more "race-look" and not in chrome TBH, but I still liked the DTM's when they were offered. Now I know I'm getting the STM's I'm over the moon (see pic below)! Picking them up tomorrow afternoon from Leicester!
