Hey guys

I'm reasonably new to the Z (got it about 3 weeks ago with front end damage)... it's already got some kit on it and I'm a Nissan 200 owner too, so I'm reasonably familiar with turbo cars.

I've a few questions about the tuning the Z:

I'm fitting:

-uprated oil cooler

-dual induction (from the states)

-bigger intercoolers

-two of what I call a Bren devise (like a dawes devise)

-it's already got a nice single exit exhaust and HKS coilovers

... I'm wanting to up the power as much as I can basically, and I'm not doing too many miles in it... basically, from reading some of the threads here I'm assuming I can push 15psi through the stock T25 turbos if I chip the engine? what power would this see?

Also, at what power does the fuel pump need changing, along with the stock injectors?

How much power will the standard engine internals hold comfortably?... in the next year I'm going to get some Forged Pistons from the US with rods etc and will go for the full management system, clutch, drive shafts... is there anywhere on this site which gives a list of the things you need for different power levels?

Cheers, and sorry if I've gone on a bit :D

Luke

Oh, I'd also like to become a full member of the site, but don't have use of paypal at the moment (at my limit).. can I send a cheque?

Turbos at 15psi is pushing the turbos to its limit, as well as pushing the injectors and clutch, and most of the internals. I have heard of 500bhp on stock internals in the US but never seen one. 15psi and the mods you list will be fine for stock internals I feel, with a decent fuel map.

The fuel pump is good for engine with 600bhp apparently.

i wouldnt fit dual induction it can make the car run dodgy, unless you have big power and 2 mafs then it aint worth it IMO

cheers for the info..looks like im along the right lInes then ;-)...in a year or so im wanting to go for mega power :-)...have wanted a z since picking up the press pack in 92 :-)

i went for the duel filter as the single power quotes were about 400bhp max...so i'll see what its like first ;-)

luke :-)

I thought the stock inernals were good for about 450 bhp .. safe enough ... then again I am not Mr mechanic/tuner ...

I got a dual induction and it runs fine.

only IMO iv just seen more bad than good reviews

besides you hardly have stock setup :D
