Track Day Possibility

Nabbed this from the Fiat Coupe Site, posted by Nigel. Has anyone here been to Curborough? Anybody interested in going - making a Zed Track Day there?

I might also try to find out how much it would cost to hire the sprint course that I intend to compete at next year. Take a look at www.curborough.co.uk It's about 20 miles north of birmingham and dead easy to find. Several car clubs (Westfield, EVO, Caterham, Aston Martin, Ferrari etc etc) hire the track for club days. I've seen some drivers get ten or more runs in during a day.

Is it a go-kart circuit then? LOL biggrin.gif

biggrin.gif Possibly early next year, hopefully. biggrin.gif I have a wonderful bumper sitting in my lounge looking most forlorn and the cats have taken to sleeping around it and through it frown.gif. It needs to be sprayed and stuck on the car forthwith! That way I can also get the number plates changed to the personalised ones at the same time biggrin.gif

Need to speak to a certain person to see how he is getting on with putting his feelers out biggrin.gif and then I will know more.

Is that certain person MAC 1 ?

He had a recommendation for a good bodyshop. Did his front, great job, great price. Ask him.

Andy, it isn't actually, but if his contact can match the price with an equally good finish, it's worth asking him.

Do you know who the contact was?

Don't remember, it was when we spoke on the phone. Drop him an email.

I don't know who he is but I'm gonna use Iains bodyshop aswell. He's very reasonable on price and I will probably, hopefully be seeing McZ burgers car this weekend!!!

Ajay, you lucky girlie you, I'm off to follow the ginger brick road on Saturday to get my Stillen from the J Glo in person biggrin.gif

However, not in the Z as it's off road again(surprise fuckin' surprise) so will be going in true pilot stylee with Capitan Sven Garly Bro in his F-900 Turbo Sven Saab jet fighter!!! LMAO biggrin.gif

whats wrong with your car timmy?

im so jealous of that stillen bumper, but now the whole world seems to be getting it.

So ill saty stock biggrin.gif

The new SE rebuilt engine is so powerful that it's lunched the gearbox ! lol

so it broke down ?????

hmmmmmmmmmm should i or shouldent i wink.gif

Not broke down as such, but ... erm... something similar. Lets say that after Tim's week or two of performance testing it ain't what it used to be ! frown.gif

Yep, 155 mph racing Jag S-types isn't really a good idea, not twice in one race anyway! LMAO biggrin.gif

I had prop vibration before SE and as confirmed the smoking underneath the car is from the prop seal into the back of the gearbox. Also some numpty didn't bother connecting my auto dipstick tube back onto the bell housing correctly(only a 10mm bolt) so box out just to sort that alone!

Oh, and a mild rebuild for Crimbo while they're at it! wink.gif

Not that there seems to be much wrong with the auto anyway, most likely slipping due to a lack of fluid from the leak biggrin.gif

Should have it back in a few weeks.

I could've built my own NASCAR by now and won at Daytona...ROFL biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Most people spend K's modding, I just spend thousands keeping it going...sad but hey...what else would you spend it on, paying the tax bill? biggrin.gif
