Ok folks I accept that the suggestion that any 300ZX won't do 205mph. I was stupid to even mention this foolish claim by my seller. I humbly ask your forgiveness.....and please to stop taking the p155. I am hurt....

What you ask then am I going on about?

What can one accept as a realistic top speed from a 400bhp Jap 300ZX TT?

The chance would be a good thing? My passport has expired. Oh well the M1 it is then.

Viniboy, dont know the answer to your question. But most of it is just friendly banter, dont take it too personally. Ive met quite a few people off here now, all are great people to get on with. Im sure it will take alittle time for the jokes to stop :)

Been on the Forum for 2yrs now and from what Ive seen, people go out of their way to help fellow Z owners out, with advise, parts etc etc. Probably one of the friendliest forums out there, thats why many people who sell their Z, keep using the forum.

Barry.

dont take things to heart its all banter i would imagine with a healthy amount of hp you could be good for 185

the only members on the forum who would stand a chance of breaking 200mph barrier is mac IMO due to his setup ;)

Bazza. Thanks mate. I was joking not really hurtin'. I know it sounded stupid in the first place. But I thought 400bhp was a lot and the car would (maybe) (just possibly) be capable???? But its not to be. That (by the way) hasn't spoiled the car for me. maybe pi55ed on my fireworks a bit but its still fookin' rapid. :hyper:

Whats 400.84 kh in mph.Only managed 178mph so far in my Zed.The private stretch of road ran out LOL

249.07042 mph.

I did 170mph in my pretty much stock zed, and that was verified by my GPS thingie (Im assuming they are accurate).. took a while to get up there and even longer to slow down again! :) Im sure it would have gone faster but I pooed myself and had to pull over to empty my pants...

all on my very own private test track...

What sort of mods do you have to get her to 400bhp and is that RWBHP or FWBHP, before i modded mine i have had it on the 175mph on the clock with Shrimpy in the car. Still get there but i got a bit more drag now......:( but hey i likes her :D:D

Seen off the Clock on my old 2+2 (UK so 180mph reading) Clarkey will verify LOL!

So far on my SWB about 140ish, cos im scared me zorst will fall off!! :p

You have to take off 20mph with ol Shrimpster in the car mate ...

I have done 179mph, was still accelerating before I bottled it, I know it would have gone off the clock. Ive got 325 @ wheels.

Well shrimpy did have a dress on......LMFAO.............if thats what you mean...:rofl::

It was Sarge that asked him to wear it, so ive heard!! :)

You both want a :slap::slap:.....:mac1:

I like your car Sarg' Looks fookin georgeous mate.

Turbo technics do a stage 2 hybrid turbo conversion and they reckon it will give the 300ZX 430BHP

The Z is only geared to do 165MPH as standard, have proved this on the rolling road.. Bouncing off the rev limiter at 7200RPM in 5th gear.In order to get higher speeds you either need to change you're final drive ratio or fit bigger wheels to gear the bugger up!! 23" Should see 200+MPH!! :D :D
