Was just wondering if any of you guys are drifting your zeds? I used to do a bit in my S13 and was hoping that the SWB NA would be a half decent drift car, appears there are very few out there doing it though....any reason for that? Also anyone know where to get reasonably priced bushes and uprated arbs etc from?

good question mate (or M@ ;) ), the 200 is considered the drift king, but why no 300s?

I drift when I feel like it, wouldn't do it for competition or anything like that though...

 

The Zed is really well balanced for it in my opinion :)

Occasionally, although been waiting for new shocks and springs to turn up so not recently. When they do I'll be popping along to the next driftUK practise session. I got a set of 200sx wheels for the rears, so cheaper tyres and easier to get them spinning.

I'm going to go the driftuk sessions next month, not sure how a stock z will behave, one of the irish guys on driftworks reckons there are a few competing in the irish D1 at the mo, I'm still thinking I may have to keep the Z in good nick and go back to an S13 or a bimma for drifting.

chatted to a bloke @ Bolney last week he is in a drift team did a jap import show at Ally Pally the same day with his 300zx...now i think he's called Gary..Dave..!?

I found my zed to be a bit snappy when trying to drift it, the rear could whip round at a moments notice. It kind of puts you off trying unless there's a huge spin-off area :D

 

My S13 is amazingly predictable sideways :cool: Although you have to give it more revs to provoke it.

I did a drift course the other month. We used a 200sx and some MX5s. And believe it or not at the end of the day everyone preferred the MX5!!!

 

Still, no one wants to be seen in a hair-dressers car do they :D

the MX5 is pretty easy to use for drifiting at low speed, gets a bit unpredictable then it's really given some, also they're bloody expensive hairdresser poncemobiles not exactly the drifter image!LOL

ok ok - so i'm considering it :D anyone know where i can get my viscous upgraded ?? dont want to go mechanical but got loads of good reporrts from a 600% stiffer viscous
