Just taken off the front tyres and the insides have fallen to pieces, I thought this might be due to -ve camber as the car is lowered on tein suspension but on closer insepection it seems that the tyres are rubbing on the suspension components ( the underside of the big smooth metal strut ) and it has basically gorged the tyre edge.

Is this still a result of -ve camber and / or is the car to low ?

Guess I need camber kit anyway. Where do I get one from ?

... forgot to mention, running 235/35/18 on the front... possibly a wheel offset problem ?

Check on the traders section, I thing some of them where selling the adjustable top links where you can change the cambre. most cambre kits are fixed and chang the camber back. These are cheaper but are no where near as good.

I would have thought this was an incorrect wheel fitment. (off set)

I agree with Dave, it very likely that the wheels are the incorrect offset (it should say the offest on the back of the wheel. Maybe getting some 5mm spacer rings will solve the problem for you.

Wheels are 18 x 8.5 J PCD 114.3 Whats the correct PCD ?

Right, I have done a search and it seems the correct offset is 35 for the Z suggesting my 32 is wrong. Will a 3mm spacer do the trick ? if so where do I get some ?

Thanks for the input so far guys.

There are loads of Wheel spacers on ebay, you should be able to pick them up for about £5. Otherwise any wheel shop should have these or be able to get hold of them.

you should also get longer wheel studs when using spacers, otherwise you risk the bolts stripping off due to a lack of threads...

Hi Andy

Just a thought regarding the fitment of your Tein suspension. Are the bolt holes oval on the shock where they are bolted to the lower part of your your suspension? I had the same problem when fitting coilovers to my S13. When I loosened the lower 2 bolts on the shock, there was some adjustment owing to the holes being oval and this erradicated my clearance problems.

Should be ok with 3mm spacers, my wheels came with 3mm spacers from the manufacturers, loads of thread left.
