Whats the fastest. A 300zx? A GTO or a Supra twin turbo. Or the top skyline. Also why do you guys think the 300zx is better than supras, GTO's ect ect. I really just prefer the look of the Z myself. It really does look powerful, where as a supra looks cheep looking and the GTO well Im just not keen on that. And skylines and Evo's and scoobies simply look like famliy cars gone. So come on explain to me why the 300zx is the best out of the big jab supercars?

Personally, I rather have a 300zx. The stock performance you see here, and the ones for the 300zx is irrelevant to me as my cars are never left standard. I'm looking for a 300z in a few months and I will have it next to my Supra. I'm not blinkered by brand or image associated with the cars, I don't form cliques or gangs based on what car I own, I don't hate cars simply because I don't have it. Just because I can point out weaknesses of car doesn't make me anti-z or whatver. Funny that I get the same crap from the supra boys when i defend the zx. :p

Agreed, stock for stock. The Supra is quicker than the zed.

Yup, I apologise for that, even to 'Anh', but I do love a good keyboard ninja stylee slagging match every now and again. These types of threads always get out of hand, the majority of people tend to think their cars are the best, until they change them then their new car is the best ever, is there really a 'best' car?

 

I can appreciate most cars, I really like the look of the zx, they have so much road presence, I think m,ore than my GTR, but never got round to driving one so can't comment on how they drive.

I also like the Supra although they are becoming quite common round here, again, the only one I've driven was 720bhp so again, can't really comment, although that was fun!

I like the look of the '32 GTR, I also like the way it drives, just like a powerful rwd until you start to lose it then it turns to 4wd, you really have to drive one to understand how it works!

 

Bit of a random waffling post, but just trying to point out that we can appreciate other peoples cars for what they are, and don't neccesarily compare them to other makes/models.

It baffles me why somebody would come onto a forum, used and specificley run, for people who own 300zx's, and ask which car is better??!!!

Once again, personal choice, if you want to come onto our board to ask stupid questions, dont be surprised when your politely asked to leave.

The dynos were hosted on 4 separate domains/websites. One of the dynos were performed by an aftermarket company.

How do we know the article was not doctored in some way without seeing the original? How do we know the article was not made up in the first place? All we have to go on is good faith.

That was a scan from Motortrend magazine, one of the top car publications. There are also the remaining pages to that whole article available on that site, and they are all standard cars.

 

But obviously, you, the flat-footed stubborn that you are have already concluded that it's likely to be a fake just like all 4 other dynos I posted on this thread.

 

The Supra's performance proves it has that much power anyway, and it consistently faster than the JDM and Euro models. But obviously you will suspect the tests were conducted downhill with a stopwatch to make the Supra appear faster. :rofl:

You don't even have a clue about engine performance to judge what claim is outlandish and what isn't. Do the maths towards pressure, CFM rates and fueling requirements and the power figure is perfectly feasible in theory.

I just bought my ZX from a friend of a friend who imports Japs. He sold me he's own car and apparently it's churning out +400bhp will top 205 mph and does 0-60 in 4.7 secs. So with the right bits and bobs they can be tuned really well?

Mind you as already pointed out It's a juicey bitch. less than 10 to the gallon when booted. So you do have to make sacrifices. :nono:
