looking for a little bit of advice,

My VG30E has started to really rattle (topend) it started last week so i pulled the rockers covers off and replaceed the hydrolic followers and it's been fine untill last night and now it's back, the car's doen about 30 miles or so from the followers replace.

 

any idea's why this could be happening

As above Ant, it sounds like oil starvation. Do an engine oil flush, change your filter and try again.

 

Or

 

If you’re happy with your oil pressure, try a couple of capfuls of ATF poured into your rocker cover through the oil filler.

 

What does your oil gauge read when @ tickover.

 

With the lifters being hydraulic, the lifters are normally the first part to complain, did you change them for brand new ones?

My oil guage is very low (like almost all the way to the left) all the time. I didn't realise this was a bad thing... oops

Mate there is a very good chance this is the oil pressure sender unit, pretty easy to replace!
