I want to fit some of the chrome m3 mirrors from halfords. Trouble is (obviously) they dont do a 300zx back plate to fit the mirrors to

Just wondered if anyone has experimented fitting these ? And if so which back plates did they buy and modify ?

Im simply not spending 250 quid on Veilside ones. So £40 for a trial on M3 ones seems fair to me

I dont know which ones he had but MantaV8 was fiddling with the indicators in the mirrors......think this involved tackling the back plate so he might have an idea for you....just dont mention the drill :x: :D

I have it on good authority that NisTek have made mirror backplates for these type of mirrors in the past. Try phoning them (Pete Rosenberg) and they might be able to help you.

Good luck,

Dan

i`de try and get the propper base plates for them, i fitted those chrome M3 mirrors with indicators to mine a few months ago (after getting one of my originals snapped off!! (some jelouse c**t)) could`nt get hold of any base plates so i bought the universal ones and trimmed it to shape, looks OK from a distance but when you look close up you can see they don`t fit right and need the curve that the originals ones had......if you do find someone selling the ZX base plates can you let me know?
