New traders and committee forum

This section is only available for official subscribed traders of 300zx.co.uk and is only visible to Committee Moderators and Traders. This section will be used for communication between all three parties. One of the reasons for this section is that I am getting real tired of chasing odd Traders around the board selling what ever they choose to sell on the day and not sticking to the Gentleman’s agreement that is currently in place.

If you would like a free for all to sell whatever you like on the board it will put a few of you out of business as you are here to make a living and not some kind of charity to the members of this club.

However you pay the fees and as TLO I would like to see if you would like to change the way we trade on the board.

Please give this a lot of thought before you vote as the Committee need to look at this poll and maybe move onto a free for all style trading if that's what you want.

Regards

MAC.

Thanks for setting this up guys.

To be honest I think the trading secton works well and excuse my use of an old cliche, but if it ain't broke don't fix it!

Yep fully agree with what Mark said. It's just a pity that 1 person is causing so much grief :(

What they said, goes with me too leave things as they are in respect of who sells what. If a trader comes on board selling a certain range/type of goods, then he sells that, any alterations should be discussed and approved.

cheers

There are products either not sold or not listed in each traders section, can these be sold by other traders. Also Ian has asked for this list to be updated, how can one trader be entitled to sell whatever he wants without first passing it through the committee and another trader being black-balled every time he comes up with a new product. It seems that the committee is very biased and the vote should go to the members and not the traders. At this present time this thread will go no-where and no thing will change until it is brought before the majority and not the minority.

Getting straight to the point, iam not trying to step on anyone’s toes "if I wanted to that would be easy", Ian asked me to list items not already sold, so I did and the committee knocked it back" your a breaker they say" yes I am but why can I not also fill in, were there are opportunities. I can offer some nice products which only we can obtain how can another trader decline our application.

Until this is put to the members then it’s a waste of time imo

Unlike other traders, I have put more into this club than I have taken out, so isn’t it only fair that I have the right of speech.

Maybe i havn't been clear enough on what i mean, for exmaples ONLY

Chris, performance goods

Ricerocket S/H spares

Ryan/Topless Garages services and parts required for them

Me, Engine enhancements and performance goods (though limited) for more than 5 years

Danny, performance products

pete, grounding kits

DaveC S/H spares

Luke body kits and some performance goods

It's like coming on here to sell Sofa's and suddenly doing TV's etc just cos they are used in the same room !

We ALL have websites and members can and do easily look at them to gain info and prices etc, so they are in no way missing out.

Furthermore, briefly looking at your site Dave, i can see no products there that you do that no other trader here already does or can supply at same cost or less and that's not taking into account the VAST majority of your stuff is in fact suplied by traders here already and i would guess they supply to you.

Personally i don't care what you sell on your site, but i do on the board, just for the record.

cheers

For the record, there are a few products which we also sell that are made exclusively for us and are not yet on our website. As the website has nothing to do with this forum do not involve it. The only products on our site supplied by another trader are Lukes bodykits, this is between Luke and myself and again is our business.

Paul we don’t see eye to eye as most traders from time to time, Iam not out to get anyone and not trying to create a price war either. I want to be able to also offer our parts to the members other than S/H parts. My argument is not with the traders, it is with the committee, who have still not yet explained their reasoning behind their decisions to myself.

I think a free for all is a very bad idea, and is not one of my goals, but on the other hand I believe that each trader should be allowed to expand to accommodate new opportunities. If one of you guys has a new product you don’t put it to the committee do you, you just sell it with no questions asked, as long as iam selling our own products then what the problem

Dave you joined this forum as a breaker, you have not provided any details of any products other than those that other traders provide. you have however constantly targeted members on this forum offering parts already available from other traders and not in line with your original trade agreement. In fact you have been told already and warned on more than one occasion about this and acknowledged that you have been told and warned.

Your position as a breaker was agreed so you could supply second hand parts that may not be available by other breakers, it was not so you could get your foot in the board to start selling different parts at a later date and we have no obligation to fulfil this request.

The forums current stance on trading is that if it is a benefit to the members, traders are being recommended by us for certain parts, it is up to you what you sell in your line of business but via this forum you are permitted to only advertise certain parts in certain ways. The forum and club is no way intended to be a platform to maintain any traders business, only as an avenue of communication and advertisement for agreed products to a captive audience so to speak.

Mike I joined long before offering a service, but when I did it was indeed to provide s/h parts. I was advised to apply to change my position, it was refused and imo not even discussed.

As above, this thread is pointless. It should of been put in the private members section and not here.

Fraid the Sig at the bottom of yer posts advertising your website, does make this "something to do with the forum" If you want it to have nothing to do with this forum, simply create a backpage on your website, advertsie your main as S/H spares with a link to your performance pages within, that way your keeping it seperate.

Finally, as Mike said, you were allowed to trade on the understanding you sold S/H spares as it was that service that was needed especially in the northwest, had you approached the comittee and asked to sell performance products, you know you would have been turned down as we already had plenty of traders offering that service.

I know from experience, am not going to win an argument with yer Dave, so think i've said my bit on this now.

cheers

actually dave it was discussed at length,

and no need to split hairs, you know what i mean, you joined this forum as a trader to break cars.

Sorry Dave, if a forum trader subscription is accepted by the committee (it IS their decision!) and details of product range are used in support of that application, then IMO it isn't fair to expand and step on toes without going through the committee again.

After all - the committees initial acceptance is based on the product range in the FIRST application. You can't add terms to a "contract" after it has been "signed" by both parties :)
