Ok Im proper bored of using a razor to shave, been using mach III's and they **** my face up a treat, come out in nasty shaving rash/acne every bloody time...

thinking of trying a decent electric shaver instead..

whats a good one to get?

the ones that put the cream on your face are good m8

kids bought me one a while ago, BUT you have to use it every day really

otherwise its bloody hard work lol, with the lotion you don't tend to get an itchy kipper

lol ok, i will go to the department store in the morning and ask for some cream on my face! :)

In my experience, it dont matter if you spend £20, or £120, all electric shavers are crap, IMHO

Recently got one of those Gilette electric 'vibrating' versions of the normal 'wet shave' sort - it has an aaa battery in the handle. Very impressed - less pain and spots.

Now then .. I do know about this shit. I have always suffered from a shaving rash, especially when I was in the forces. You had one bit of stubble .. hello jail. bummer.

Electric shavers are OK .. depends if you wan't a really really close shave .. in civvy street all is cool .. just buy an expensive one ... JOB DONE ..

I know the electric ones dont get as close as a proper razor but im not too fussed about that, so long as it gets rid of the long fuzz, amazing how hairy you can get if you dont shave for a week...

and thanks for the link btw, looks like a good deal!

Ditto.

I only wet-shave with a Mach3 Turbo. And never every day either, using a decent moisturiser afterwards stops the irritation and Julia gets me this stuff called "Tend Skin" which is a liquid that stops the ingrowing hairs and razor bumps too.

Can't beat a decent cut-throat shave though

Back in the early 90s my then GF and I were holidaying in Turkey. I had a tendency to wear designer stubble back then so she coaxed me into this dodgy barbers for a cut-throat shave by a mad Turkish barber. This guy was sooooo quick I just sat there rigid in the chair incase he killed me!!

Got my revenge though, once he finished I slipped him a few million Lire to shave her legs

Richard :smw:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

sod trying to use it after a week of growth m8 lol

unless you like pain

wet shave is the only way i go for the designer stuble but i get fecked off with a beard after a while,or am i just to fookin lazy :D

Whats the matter with stubble??

Its not just for the 80's, lol, I try to shave once a week, cant stand it, problem is, by day 3 its usually a beard!! Only have to shave if I have a meeting, or if im going somewhere that I have to look a little less like some vagrant!!!

Cut throat is good, had one tha day I got married, im sure he took the top layer of skin off!! Never had a shave that close before, or after!!

I saw a TV prog about an expensive barber once.

He said the thing most blokes do wrong when wet shaving is not getting enough hot water onto the stubble first.

Now I sloosh at least ten VERY hot double-handfulls of water on my face before wet shaving..... it makes a MASSIVE difference.

I even put a tiny bit of cold water in my hands first so they don't realise how hot the hot water is until I've slooshed each time!

I used to get horrid shaving rash. Like ChrisP said, in the forces they dont do stubble! :xxx:

I bought a Philishave Coolshave. It spunks on your mug as you shave, no more shaving rash! I find it just as close as a Mach 3 with out the discomfort. I also use Botanics Pre Electric Shave Primer. Its awesome stuff, makes the shave so much smoother!! Go for the most expensive shaver you can afford

And thats all I have to say about that :D

there is a "cut throat" barber in disneyland paris!!! my ex's brother went there when we were on holiday, was fooking hilarious he was cut to pieces, the chap had probably drunk five bottles of wine during the day! ;)

another tip when wet shaving is to use a brush and use 360 degree rotations with it seperates the hair better and seems to make it more comfortable to shave, use a brand new blade each time,i know there dear but its better than a rash!

Now I know why I use an electric shaver!

LOL, All this pi$$ing about with hot water/brushes/cream/face-cum, sorry moisteriser.

Switch the Braun on, a couple of minutes and it's sorted.

No sliced-off spots or cuts and no razor-rash!

And what panty liners are you all using?

always

lmao.. whats wrong with discussing shaving techniques? :D my dad never showed me how :( although im glad he is a clone of homer simpson and whenever he shaves he comes out of the bathroom with a whole role of toilet paper stuck to his face to stop all the bleeding :D

Recently got one of those Gilette 'vibrators' . Very impressed - less pain and spots.

:x:

shaving a chromed beard off is a different discussion vinz :D

I use a philishave thing, works well, when wet shaving I always shave after a hot shower, that seems to do the trick.
