Ever since I bought my TT the clock hasn't worked properly it always resets to 1:00 when I turn the ignition off and sometimes doesnt work at all.

Has anyone experienced similar probs?

Yes, it's a common problem. I replaced mine with a unit from a write-off. I think that it's possible to fix them, but I can't remember where I read about it.

A new unit from Nissan is not cheap unfortunately.

I asked a friend of mine who is a specialist in electronics to look at mine who was working intermittent. Turns out one of the chips that's on there (some kind of high output power converter or something) is not good quality.

It's a notorious problem with Zs. You can get an aftermarket unit but it requires a lot of searching. Best buy one from a wrecked Z. Decent price in the US is $40 shipped. That's like 25 pounds or something like that I think.

Hi there Keepsake! Nice to see you're here as well.

I guess I had more luck with my clock cause after resoldering all

the connections on it, it works fine.

Worth a try.

Maybe I should try that Mr Viking. Mine also resets every now and then. Ta.

I tried re-soldering the connections on mine but it didn't make any difference, sometimes it's fine and other times it resets itself. Bizarre!
