right then have done ecu check an got code 34

tried the bypass 2nite

reset ecu to code 55 ran engine then checked ecu again just to be sure code 34 again, reset ecu to 55 looped det sens connector will a 1meg ohm res ran engine code 34 still

so the instructions say wiring knackered to ecu an to replace or the wrong resistor used

so 2mrw gonna get another resistor and a volt meter to check wiring

is there anything else that can be done?

how much is a new harness to the ecu? and where can get 1 if wires are knackered

all help apreciated ;)

measure the voltage at the harness, you should get 4.8V, but there could be a dodgy wire somewhere. did you deffinately put the resistor on the right side of the ecu harness? it should go on the female\socket side, it might be easy to connect it to the tails of the det sensor, its hard to tell each side apart.

if the harness is faulty you could trace the colours back to the ecu and cut/solder in beside the plug.

Its wire 23 on the harness side of the ecu, in case you were wondering :)
