How about The Killer, Hard Boiled, The Story of Ricky, Fudoh, Ichi the Killer, The Untold Story, The Devil's Experiment, Men Behind the Sun or Full Time Killer? To name but a few :)

and the last twenty minutes too, some really nasty stuff in that film even if it is hollywood pap... couple that stick in my mind is the jewish guy getting slowly stabbed in the chest and the guy holding on to his sticky bomb for a little too long... flame thrower in the machine gun nest.. etc etc...

I think your bang on mate, there are lots of more blood thirsty stuff maybe even true to life war stuff but Scum was and is a daily genuine occurance (even worse today than then) Who's the f**kin Daddy!!!

Oh yes, you can't beat a good Jap cinema film for ciolence and gore ;), The Story of Ricky and Ichi the Killer being my personal favourites.

Manga films are always good for a laugh too - the Urotsukidoji series are all quality :)
