Just went in there and bought my daughter the incredibles DVD.

Got all the way home and went to open it, and couldnt! There was a little red button on the side of the case with a black 'B' on it. So I tried to lever it out, press it in, slide it, everything I could possibly think of and it wouldnt move! So I pulled the case apart and one quater cracked. So I took out the DVD sleave / cover as to not wreck it, prised the case open and took the book etc out. Tried to pull it open a little better to see how the device works, and the case cracks more, all the time risking fooking up the DVD.

In the end I checked it out. Its a new security thing know as a 'RedTag' security band. Designed to stop people who steal from opening the case and if they do it cracks, tears the cover and shatters the disks! Cheeky little ****ers! Supposed to save hastle of storting dvds out of the case then taking ages when shopping to put em back in etc. Good if their staff are actually aware of the ****ing things!

They should have taken it off when they sold it to us with a special 'tool'.

The disk was ok, I didnt damage it, its just the case is designed to split aparantly when you try and open it etc. So they moaned they wouldnt take it back! Off to see them in a mo, they ****ing better do or there is going to be war!

So if you buy a dvd with this little red ****er on, make sure the muppets in the shop take it off!!!

They took it back in the end, the manager did a straight swap. They asked why I tried to force it open, and i pointed them to the authors website that states the case is made in a way that it will break in quaters etc. They asked why I didn't phone them earlier instead of trying to open it, so I told them I didn't have my crystal ball on me today it was being polished round my nans. I also pointed out the fact that I wasn't into the line of selling DVDS and so didnt have a ****ing clue what it was lol.

Anyways, got a brand spanker and so I should for 17 barsteward 99!

You can get them out with a strong Magnet....If you have one thats is! :o

Glad you got it sorted mate. I would have been just the same as you mate. That would have wound me up soooo much .. and not forgetting the extra petrol etc ...
