Ohhh Nooo...Please help

I bought a TT Manual 3 days ago. I drive it from Leeds to London without any problems.

Today when I start the engine I notice a TIC noise coming from the engine. The noise comes after 2200 RPM. And gets more frequent as the RPMs goes higher.

When the car is at normal 800RPM or 900RMS up to 2000 there isnt any noise.

Its very intense at 2200-2500

The guy I bought it from told me to send it to his mechanic and check it out.

Do you think the engine is gone?

At this moment I feel very very bad. frown.gif

This noise comes from the place where the rear coils are. I mean from the back of the engine. Somewhere between the black metal (that goes from one side of the engine to another) to protect the engine.

Not the front of the engine. The back

What might be down there?

Im not too ot with 300s, but sounds like it could be the injectors??

make sure the coil packs are on properly. If they are arcing then that makes a ticking noise. Get someone who lives near you to have a look first. it could be something simple
